Our flight from Toronto, ON was late, and by the time we got baggage and picked up our rental car it was 1:30 a.m. Florence and Art were welcoming and quickly got us settled. The full breakfast was "made to order" and suggestions on places to go, stay and visit around the Island were offered generously when we asked. And very inexpensive. Highly recommended!
This past June and July 2015, I walked across Newfoundland on the Tans Canada Trail from St. John's to Port aux Basque. When I arrived in Deer Lake, the Strawberry festival was taking place and it was difficult to find a room. Fortunately, someone directed me to the Birch view B&B. I was very exhausted when I arrived and I spent 3 nights. Both Art and Florence made me feel right at home. The breakfast were wonderful and I felt well rested when I headed out to Corners Brook. Called for a reservation, I asked for three person availability, when I asked if we could use a mat for a third person she hung up.
